Section for Nautical safety is part of DNV Maritime with primary competence within navigational systems and bridge design in the maritime and offshore industry.
As part of the classification process, the section for Nautical safety is responsible for design assessment of wheelhouse arrangements, field of vision, navigation light arrangements for which requirements are stated in the DNV Rules and other relevant statutory regulations constituting scope of class. Approval of service suppliers for annual survey and annual performance testing of VDR/S-VDR.
