DNV addresses climate change in several ways; through its services, through its operations and through taking an active role in shaping and enhancing regulations and standards. Furthermore, DNV addresses its environmental footprint through encouraging and supporting its employees in reducing their personal environmental impact.

What is it
WE do is an environmental project that helps people working in DNV limit their personal environmental footprint – which is estimated to be larger or at least comparable to the footprint from DNV’s operations. DNV wants to help employees act in a more environmentally friendly manner in their daily lives. To achieve this, DNV has set aside NOK 40 million that will partially finance personal environmental actions.
How WE do works
All permanent employees can apply for WE do funding and the amount is the same worldwide. The upper limit is NOK 10,000 per person, per year. The amount received is considered additional salary and therefore subject to local tax regulations.
